"Cointment Home"

of Creation: 1985
This home, located on St Philip Street in Thibodaux, Louisiana,
was purchased on July 19, 1854 by Mrs Virginia Fabre, widow of Joseph Fabre,
from William Jordan. Mrs Fabre moved to Thibodaux with her daughters.
One of those daughters, Marguerite Augusta, married Roman Cointment and
had 14 children. One of them, Olive Janet, married Dr Philip Dansereau.
Descendents of Mrs Fabre lived in this house for 117 years until the heirs sold
the property to a Mrs Weldon.
